Hi Everyone -

I've just uploaded some lovely recipes (well, all of them were lovely) to our

Files. Thanks so much to those who kindly contributed. We will enjoy them

bigtime! ;)

But hey - watch the fat content in those recipes, okay? This is a slimming

group, yeah, but also a low-fat group. Now I know that some of you might not be

interested in either slimming OR low-fat, or may be interested in one but not

the other. That's okay by us. (Hey, some of you aren't even vegetarian, but as

long as you post veggie recipes and veggie-friendly posts we don't mind.) BUT

there are a lot of people here precisely because this IS a low-fat group -

because for medical reasons or their own reasons they don't use fat of if they

use it they use precious little. Ya know?

So have a look at the Thought For Food (silly title I know) file that was sent

to you when you joined and that will be sent to ALL members at the beginning of

each month courtesy of 's computer. That lists higher fat foods that you

are asked to avoid or use only in tiny quantities plus some other ideas.

NOW, what happens to recipes that are not low-fat? Hey, we keep them anyway, as

long as they're not wayyyyy over the top. We file them away in our OT file (the

non-slimming file) that can be used for special occasions or special visitors to

your household. Okay?

So, please understand AND please respect the fact that many people here have a

weakness towards fatty stuff (don't most of us!) and would rather not be

tempted.

Me? Oh, I'll be finding a way to adapt some of these recipes so that I can

indulge in wonderful flavours AND keep low-fat! Thanks a bunch!!!

Best, Pat (Co-owner with Cindi)

Well said Pat and thank you for getting the recipes loaded up.  I've been

inundated with schoolwork and redesigning a website, so pardon my lack of

participation this last week! I think I may have stress eaten a bit too as I

gained a pound, but I'm not too worried about it and I honestly expected to gain

a couple more. :-)
