Guest guest
Congrats for losing the pound today - I read your blog tempewytch I'm a Brit too and went to stock up at Tescos today. Also celery - all the usual salads. I've learnt to have only a palmful as opposed to a handful of nuts every day so I need fewer nuts in my weekly shop. I really like the taste of the new Holland & Barrett Lincolnshire style veggie sausages but I have to limit myself. You only have to see the state of the kitchen foil after I've grilled them to see the fat. Funny isn't it, being able to mention food and shops and you and I understand them! Although I appreciate and enjoy reading posts from our American veggie posters on here, I often haven't a clue what foods and shops they are talking about! Sorry guys and gals. I need to lose more weight to relieve some knee pain I'm getting in the left knee. I've upped my magnesium, glucosamine, etc - but only felt a modest improvement so far. Good luck with keeping below 21 stone (another Brit oddity - hah) Geoff http://geoffnelder.com , The Dragon <dragonsteeluk wrote: > > Just been out to do the grocery shopping so we are all stocked up for (hopefully) the next week, lots of nice healthy munchies for me for me to attack (celery, carrots, apples, satsumas - YUM), and meals will be of the " stretch food as far as possible " variety! > > I really should try and get some clearing done but I am too sore and too cold and so I think I might slump in front of the fire (about to be lit) and the DVD player and forget about the world outside with mugs of tea and later some red wine :-) > > The Dragon (aka High Priestess Enchanting Even weave) > Current stitching - Map of Durham, Cat Ornaments, The Hikers, Green Man > http://tempewytch.blogspot.com/ - stitching/house > http://tempewytchdiet.blogspot.com/ - diet/angst > >
Guest guest
Good to see you Geoff I wish I could shop at Tesco as it is our nearest supermarket but I have a fatal nut allergy and none of their stuff is safe for me :-(, I will confess to be being a Quorn addict - their Bramley Apple Bangers are scrummy :-), I haven't tried the Holland and Barrett ones - I must have a look next time we are in town! The other thing is I finally realised I don't like crisps (chips to the Americans!) whereas I can happily chomp my way through masses of raw veg, hence the celery/carrots/apples etc, hmm this week I need to find some more low fat lentil and barley recipes to try out!
