Guest guest Posted December 1, 2002 Report Share Posted December 1, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Basic Cream Cheese Cookie Dough Recipe By :Recipe courtesy Alton Brown Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:15 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3/4 C. softened butter 3 oz. softened cream cheese 3/4 C. sugar 1 T. grated lemon peel 2 C. flour 1/4 t. salt Cream butter, cream cheese, sugar and lemon peel until light and fluffy. Beat in flour and salt. Flatten dough into disk shape, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate 30 min. Work with 1/4 of dough at a time, keeping remainder refrigerated. Heat oven to 350° F. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/8 or 1/4 " thickness and cut or mold as desired. Place 1 " apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned, 10-15 min. or as specified, depending on thickness of dough. Cool on racks.
