Guest guest Posted March 30, 2007 Report Share Posted March 30, 2007 Here is the news published in the leading english daily Deccan Chronicle of hyderabad Hyderabad, March 29: A beef stall put up on the campus as part of the annual youth festival `Sukoon' organised by students of Central University of Hyderabad has kicked up a row with the BJP accusing university vice-chancellor Seyed E. Hasnain of encouraging students to open beef stall. In a statement, BJP official spokesperson N. Ramchander Rao demanded suspension of Hasnain and sought criminal cases to be booked against him for encouraging " anti-Hindu activities " on the campus. Sukoon will kick off on Friday evening. Mr Hasnain was not available for comment. However, HCU students union general Secretary Mr Zikrullah Khan told this correspondent that the union has decided to put up the stall and there was no involvement of officials or teachers in it.
