Mushroom Sauce Adapted from a recipe on recipezaar.com originally adapted from 'Company's Coming Make Ahead Meals' by J. Pare. 20 minutes, 10 minutes preparation2 tablespoons vegan margarine (or oil)2 cups fresh mushrooms1 small onion, chopped1/4 cup cornstarch (cornflour)1 1/2 teaspoons chicken-style stock powder1 teaspoon GF vegan worcestershire sauce1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon pepper1/2 teaspoon paprika2 cups soy milk1/2 cup apple juiceMelt margarine in frying pan or saucepan. Add mushroom and onions and sauté until soft. Mix cornstarch with a little soy milk to make a smooth paste. Add remaining ingredients to this.Add to mushrooms and onions and simmer for about 4 minutes, until thickened, stirring constantly. Makes around 2 3/4 cups.
