Guest guest Posted April 10, 2005 Report Share Posted April 10, 2005 Dill " Cheese " Spread Source: Newstart Lifestyle Cookbook 1 Tbsp. tapioca (quick variety) 1/4 cup water 1/2 lb. tofu 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 1/3 cup clean, raw cashews 3 Tbsp. pimiento 2 Tbsp. food yeast flakes 1/2 tsp. dill weed 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic salt Soak tapioca in water until soft. Process tofu and lemon juice in a blender, adding a little water, if necessary. Combine all ingredients and process until smooth. Cook in a double boiler untkl thickened all the way through (about 1 hour). No stirring is necessary. Pour into a mold (use a pan spray) or form into a ball and chill.
