Guest guest
Coconut Milk Source: Jennifer D. 1 C dry macaroon coconut 2 C boiling water 2 or 3 dates 1/8 scant t salt Liquefy all ingredients for several minutes. Add enough ice cubes to cool mixture so that it can be handled. Line a strainer with a sheer nylon curtain-like material and pour coconut mixture into it. Gather edges together so that the mixture can't come out of the top. " Milk " out the liquid by hand. (Leftover coconut pulp in the strainer can be added to hot cereals for added bulk.) Add more ice cubes or ice water (enough to make total amount of milk equal 1 qt.)
