Guest guest
Hi Dragon,  I'm so sorry to hear things aren't going too well for you on the weight loss front. It can be so frustrating and disappointing when something like this happens. In your case it must be even more frustrating as there are certain factors you can't control, such as the medication.  I received an interesting e-mail from a friend today. It was about affirmation, especially as it relates to weight loss. I'm not sure how you feel about using affirmation as a tool in your weight loss journey but you may find it worth considering at some stage. My friend mentioned she had just finished reading a book which discussed the mechanics of affirmation. To cut a long story short, the idea is to make your affirmation something about the process of achieving your goal, rather than focus on the goal itself. For instance, instead of making your affirmation 'I am slim', you should make it 'I am in the process of becoming slim'.  If you visualise yourself as being slim you can then focus on your goal of becoming slim and affirm to yourself 'I am in the process of becoming slim.'  This may not be something you would feel comfortable with but I thought I would pass it on anyway.  Actually, you could even use the MVM program as a mini-goal and set yourself the challenge of losing sufficient weight to be able to record your weight on their charts. So long as you aren't unrealistic about the length of time this will take I think this could be a great incentive.  Have you actually discussed with your doctor the issue of your medication and weight gain? S/he may be able to suggest an alternative medication or dosage.  I hope things start working out better for you soon and that your weight starts going in the right direction again.  Hugs from Marie   --- On Mon, 29/9/08, The Dragon <dragonsteeluk wrote: The Dragon <dragonsteeluk Upset Dragon and MVM " Alik Bilverstone " <falcon2ab, " Fly Dieters " <flydieters >, " Lynda Renney " <ljrenney, " RC_Hip_thigh " <Rosemary-Conley_Hip_and_Thigh, " vegetarian slimming " <vegetarianslimming > Monday, 29 September, 2008, 4:59 PM Okay yesterday I weighed in at 20 stone 11.5 pounds (291.5 pounds or 132.2 kg), today 20 stone 13.5 pounds (293.5 pounds or 133.1 kg), I have no idea WHY I put on 2 pounds over night (not enough fluids maybe?), but I decided to go in and update My Virtual Model and I cannot put my weight in! The highest it goes up to is 20 stone 2 pounds (282 pounds or 127.9 kg), this has set in stone how much of a lard ar$e I actually am and I am fed up with it - everything I do seems to back fire and put more weight on (and the various medications the docs give me do not help), the doctors have caused me to have an eating disorder but I have to live with it - if we had the money I would be going for serious liposuction at the moment just to get shot of some of the fat :-( The Dragon (aka High Priestess Enchanting Evenweave) Current stitching - Map of Durham http://dragonsteel. multiply. com/ http://tempewytch. diaryland. com/ http://dragonstitch ing.blogspot. com/
