Guest guest Posted April 18, 2005 Report Share Posted April 18, 2005 * Exported from MasterCook * Tahini Cheese Recipe By : Five Loaves Deli & Bakery Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:10 Categories : Cheese Non-Dairy Sauces Vegetarian Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 c water 1 c rice -- well cooked 1/2 c cashews 1/2 c tahini -- sesame 3 tbsp yeast flakes 1 tbsp onion powder 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp dill -- (optional) 3/4 c pimientos 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 1/2 tsp Veg-Sal (or 1 tsp salt) 1/4 tsp paprika 2 tbsp potato flour (may use 1 - 2 tbsp) -- (optional) Blend all ingredients until smooth. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : Potato flour may be added if thicker sauce is desired, but it thickens when cooked or broiled on toast.
