Guest guest
Greetings Jen and everyone, Jen, as long as you are consuming enough water (in fruits or directly), you need not be concerned at all, the weight release will slow as the amount of water weight in you diminishes. We gain and lose different kinds of weight at different rates. For example, water weight comes on and off much more rapidly than, say, lean tissue. One thought for everyone: may I suggest that we all remove the phrase " lose weight " and the like from our vocabulary forever. Language is a powerful force in the mind, and whatever can be lost, can then be found again. Instead, may I suggest that people consider returning to the world that which no longer serves their highest and best good to hold, something more along those lines. In other words, consider this a recycling process, in a planetary sense, and consider yourself a part of something much larger and very grand indeed. Hey all : ) So, I just started the 100% raw after being mostly raw for some time, yo-yo-ing every now and again. Even on the less than 100% raw I've lost about 20 pounds since February or March, most of which was initial (like about 10 or 15, then the rest slowly). But since doing 100% it's been very rapid again. I lose about 1 or 2 pounds a day. I'm sort of concerned that this might be too much--I might be losing muscle mass or something. I know proably much of it is liver glycogen, too, as you probably don't really keep carbohydrate stores for as long as you do on cooked food (seems like the body pretty much uses all of what you give it, on raw food). But the thing is I'm only eating when I'm hungry, you know, listening to my body for once. I wasn't hungry at all for a whole day, strangely enough, so I fasted a couple days ago, and then my hunger returned the next day. Usually my daily intake consits of a few pieces of fruit in the morning (like 2 small apples and something else--a banana or some berries), some carrots in the afternoon and usually a big salad in the evening, which is kept pretty simple, and with little fat (either a quarter of an avocado in the dressing or no fat at all). Sometimes I'm not all the hungry and I'll skip the carrots in the afternoon or just have them for dinner, or just the salad, so that I eat between two and three times a day. I'm very likely not getting enough Calories by most standards, but... I figure if I'm not hungry, why force myself to eat? Maybe my body has a lot of cleansing to do or something, but I figure listening to my body and not nutrition dogma is probably best. Just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this--just not eating much, or very rapid weightloss, and if you think it's healthy or not.
