Rice Porridge

1 cup uncooked short grain brown rice

1 cup water

2 Tbsp. soy margarine

8 cups Silk Soy Milk

¾ tsp. salt

2 Tbsp. Florida Crystals

1 - 2 cinnamon sticks

 

 

To cook the rice porridge:

 

Stovetop instructions:

 

1. Place the rice in a pot with the water and boil until the rice has soaked up

all the water - about

10 minutes.

2. Add the rest of the ingredients except some of the milk.

3. Let simmer for 40 - 50 minutes, stirring most of the time, adding more milk

if required.

4. Cool down quickly and place in the refrigerator.

 

Microwave instructions:

 

1. Use a microwable bowl that is large enough so the porridge won't boil over.

No need to stir more than 3 - 4 times.
