Guest guest
You can dip tofu slices in a batter of 1 cup flour to 1 cup water with a to uch of vinegar. adjust the batter to your liking for thickness/thinness. If you have time, marinate the tofu in vinegar for 30 min before dipping in batter. Fry them up (in oil on a skillet, flipping so both sides cook evenly) and serve with potatoes lightly brushed (okay, I pour on the oil and toss them in a bowl) with oil and bake at 425 F for 20 min. Serve with vinegar, ketchup, lemon, tartar sauce, whatever you like. Re: cravings: preg. #1 I craved kielbasa! pg #2 was any kind of fish, but especially fried catfish and fried clams. I didn't have any either time, but I was sorely tempted. Yuck, yuck, yuck. For morning sickness, peppermint tea worked the first two or three times, but I grew tired of tea. Also, cheese grits were helpful. Try plain grits with margarine and nutritional yeast, perhaps some tahini mixed in for protein. Jo
Guest guest
Sorry to follow up my own, but that wasn't clear: Bake the potatoes, fry the tofu slices. Slice the tofu in 1/4 inch slices. Jo
