Guest guest Posted October 3, 2005 Report Share Posted October 3, 2005 Chilean Salad Source: 3abn.org 2 to 3 medium ripe tomatoes, sliced 1 medium onion, sliced very thin 1 tsp. olive oil (opt.) salt to taste 1 green chile (opt.) 1/2 c. chopped cilantro 1. To eliminate the sharpness of the onion, place them in a bowl and cover with a tablespoon of salt and warm water. 2. Let sit for 10 minutes. 3. Drain and rinse thoroughly with cold water. (This step is optional, but preferred by the Chileans.) 4. Put tomatoes, onions, olive oil, salt and cilantro in a bowl and mix. 5.
