Guest guest Posted February 10, 2005 Report Share Posted February 10, 2005 Spiced Apple-Pecan Spread (and Dip) Source: Vegetarian Resource Group (Makes 2 cups) An easy way to jazz up plain old applesauce. Use it as a spread for toast or bagels, or as a dip for cut fruit. Delicious with tea. 2 cups unsweetened applesauce 1/2 cup chopped, pitted dates 2 Tablespoons chopped pecans, toasted 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg In blender or food processor, combine all ingredients until smooth. Refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend. Total Calories Per 2 Tablespoons: 34 Fat: 1 gram If man has no tea in him, he is incapable of understanding truth and beauty.
