Guest guest Posted February 9, 2005 Report Share Posted February 9, 2005 Lentil Soup 2 cups dry lentils 8 cups water 1/2 to 1 onion (or powdered onion flakes) 2 cups uncooked brown rice salt and pepper 1 to 2 carrots, chopped, or 2 cans sliced carrots Rinse beans and add to large pot of water. Heat to a boil and leave boiling for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let stand one hour. Add onions, carrots, and salt/pepper, and heat to a boil.
