Maikko--

An endoscopy will show if the villi in your small intestine have been

damaged due to gluten intolerance. It won't show if you're gluten

sensitive. Because your blood work showed gluten intolerance, in your

position I would adopt a strict gluten-free diet. Your GI is likely to

only recommend a gf diet if you have a positive endoscopy. Here's a

link to an essay that talks about how it can really help to pinpoint

gluten sensitivities before villi are damaged or destroyed:

If you go to pubmed (the best source I know of for medical research),

you'll find abstracts (ie summaries) of almost every article published

in mainstream medical journals:

Mainstream medicine is beginning to realize that gluten intolerance

affects systems throughout the body; not just the GI tract. This will

come up in a search of " gluten " on PubMed.

There is a great online community/support group/source of info on

testing, celiac diesase, gluten sensitivities, and other allergy issues

at:

Good luck!
