Guest guest Posted June 1, 2005 Report Share Posted June 1, 2005 Cinnamon Applesauce From The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever Makes ABOUT 3 1/2 CUPS 3 1/2 pounds Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1. In a 3 1/2-quart electric slow cooker, toss together the apples, brown sugar, and lemon juice. 2. Cover and cook on the high heat setting 3 hours, or until the apples are very tender. Mash the apples with a potato masher. Stir in the cinnamon. Serve warm, at room temperature, or cold.
