Guest guest
Great idea about the Seventh Day Adventist groups. did a store search on the Worthington site and one place they listed in my area was a SDA church! i am going to phone the number listed and ask what they offer. The Mail Order Catolog i have from www.healthy-eating.com lists the product in the frozen section : Meatless Smoked Turkey A turkey-like flavo; serve plain or in casseroles. salads, soups, and sandwiches. Three slices per serving; 12 slices per carton (8oz.); 12 cartons per case, or buy three 4 lb. rolls (99 servings). They also carry the canned... oh, and FYI to the vegans here, none are vegan options. ~ pt ~ I was reading the dictionary. I thought it was a poem about everything. ~ Steven Wright, comedian (1955- ) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , " Dick Ford " <dickford@d...> wrote: > > The Worthington smoked 'turkey' I was talking about comes in a package like Gardenburgers frozen; rarely I've seen it at chain grocery stores. It also comes in a big balogna size roll, also frozen; I've only seen that at one Adventist grocery store in TN. They also make a canned version that comes packed in gravy, and it is a fair substitute, but not nearly as good as the frozen version. I've seen all of these listed in food coop catalogs where they bring a truck load of foods and drop of large orders to local coop groups. If you can find any Adventists in your area, they have sometimes let me order through their food coop when I knew some here in MS. > ... > Be kind.
