Guest guest
Hi PT. Striped Delight is a really over the top rich and creamy, chocalate goodness. I don't have the recipe because I don't ever make it (just eat it), however here is one (link to recipe plus pic) that is sorta close. You don't have to use those brand name items and if you want to you can use a graham cracker crust instead of oreo. http://joycesfinecooking.com/Jello-Fruit%20Salads/striped_delight.htm I'm not a big dessert person however I really like this. Oh and it's not as rich as a mousse would be. It's just the fact that it's got layers of crust, cream cheese mixture, pudding and whip topping. The stuffing - I just add more onion, carrots, celery and such than most stuffing recipes suggest would have. I tried it last year (i think it was last year) and it turned out really good. The bonus though was that (and I know you'll find this really hard to believe that " I " would do this) I added garlic and jalapeno to it. Not too much. Just enough to get a hint of garlic and a hint of heat. It was really great. Can't wait to have it again this year. And why is it many of us wait until this time of year to make, share and eat these great green bean casseroles and stuffings....!
