Here is a recipe for TVP balls in case you need a recipe to try it with. TVP Balls. I haven't made these in years, I used to make these before you could buy the veggie kind in the store. I think the recipe came from Vegetarian Times Magazine. 1 cup TVP 1 cup boiling water 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs 1/4 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp sage 1/2 tsp fennel seed 1 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp thyme 1 tsp olive oil Combine TVP and boiling water in a large bowl let stand until water is absorbed about 5 minutes. Add bread crumbs, flour, salt, cayenne, sage,fennel, oregano, garlic and thyme mix well. Form TV mixture into 12 balls rub olive oil on palms and roll each ball between palms to lightly coat with oil. Place on a lightly oiled baking dish and broil until browned about 10 minutes.
