What is your favorite standby recipe?~ Like a family

meal that when all else fails everyone enjoys ~

Do you have a " signature dish " that friends and family

request you absolutely MUST make for potlucks?

The standbys in my house are usually some sort of

pasta, but my favorite is a quinoa recipe that has

garlic, green onions, corn and feta!

I have been told by my family and friends that I

MUST bring to all functions my banana pudding and my

rum cake... hehehe...

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

I am known for my rum cake, too! Although to be honest, it's really my mom

who is known for it; I just copy her recipe. Do you use anything other than

regular rum? My mom and I have experimented with lemon-flavored rum and

Grand Marnier, both of which are great.

I enjoy experimenting with the recipe as well! The

Grand Marnier is excellant and I will have to try the

flavored rums such as the lemon. Great idea!!

Everyone always wants me to make stir fries...I usually make them with peanut

butter :) and soy sauce. Sometimes I will apricot jam (and lots of veggies and

a bit of soy sauce) I call them my peanut butter and jelly stir fry. (I add a

littel corn starch or arrow root for thickening and if I want spicy a bit of red

pepper or chili paste with garlic)
