Guest guest
i have every confidence you will have what you nurture in your children, Jenni. i was blessed to have a good relationship with my mom, but she did not do well with my older sister; i think they were too alike maybe. But i see a lot of similar traits and attitudes of my older sister in my daughter which must be genetic family traits as they do not see eachother for years at a time! *lol* Anyway, when my mom was out here visiting this fall she and my daughter butted heads a few times, just like how my mom and sis used to. Weird huh? i have resolved i will not treat my daughter in the manner i saw my mom react to my sister, and thus far Zsa and i get along as best friends, so it must be working! i give respect, listen, encourage, and make sure they both know they can trust me with confidences and can tell me ANYthing and i will not judge them harshly or become angry. It is hard, and sometimes i feel the hairs turning grey on my head, but well worth it. ~ pt ~ Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that will come tomorrow.
