Guest guest
**another warning...I seem to be quite snarky today. I have been rather ill and was just deserted by my ex boyfriend because he didn't want to get sick...please don't mind me!!** The blood type diet book is from what I can tell a big ol' propaganda crock. There was a huge debate someone last year on one of the groups, communities ect. I belong to. I like to be in large groups like this one to get lots of opinions... But anyway...there really wasn't any tangible research that I could tell. I have an alternative type chiropractor who keeps trying to push these herbal things on me, but they are in geletain capsules. I try to tell him I will not touch that stuff but he always says " it's no big deal " I have also been told repeatedly by people that doctors get little to no nutrional training and they go more on personal beleifs than science there. I can't tell you for sure but my GP and my endometriosis specialist advocate this type o being a vegan. I am actually SUPPOSED to be on an endometriosis diet but I am lazy and can't seem to pay $8 for a loaf of rice bread. I still eat wheat, and soy, and sugar and occasionally caffeene. But the other stuff it says to eliminate I already had...the meat, dairy, eggs...that is the stuff all my current doctors tell me is bad for me. Now my old doc. from my childhood missed a lot of things, dropped a lot of balls, and now I suffer for it. I am thankful to have a great doctor now, but it doesn't change how sick I will always get due to that old doctor (who lost his license due to mistreatment of a number of patients!) I am mostly sensitive to cleaning products ect as well but I also find things in foods that irritate me. I am a high school teacher and the stuff they clean the floors with KILLS! I have always taken my lunches with me...so I don't know what to say there. Even as a kid I brought my lunch to school. I love bringing salads, couscous dishes, leftover soups, stews, rice dishes ect. to work with me cause then the kids flip out at how good it looks. Then I get to tell them there is no animals in it and they flip out more! Two years ago I got the kids hooked on some veggie wraps from " The Garden of Vegan " (refried beans, sunflower sprouts and seeds, alfalfa sprouts, salsa, grated beets and carrots and sometimes I add spinach too!) and now every time we are on a trip where we bring lunch they all pay me $1 per wrap! I am so cool! **Anyhoo - like I said above. I am quite snarky and scattered today , but I am also very bored so I am talkative. Let me know if I step over any lines today folks!** ~Mel --- " Mary R.
