Guest guest
Shelly I would just soak them well use very very hot water and let sit overnight. I also love my oven method it seems to work the best really for all of my stuff and the beans I can put in dry and they come out super. This lentil recipe does work as I have used it. Sounds like you are like me with a bean-a-thon 3 days to make chili it was a good joke around here though. Bottled water helps a lot, altitude does make a difference too. Try the oven and see what happens make sure they are in a casserole that is covered just put on 350 and walk away come back about 2 hours later and check the water level, add some and walk away . I do this about 3 times when I cook my Buckaroo Beans-my absolute favorite right now smokey pintos really, Otherwise it would be 3 days and then they would not all be cooked. I hope these hints help you oh and I don't have much luck in my crockpot either it is still a bean-a-thon LOL. Linda
