Guest guest
A new week a new question. These come from Susie. It is one that we have been playing around with already as we plan our Thanksgiving holiday meal. Weekly question (For Thanksgiving):Ê How do you spend your thanksgiving?Ê What will your feast consist of?Ê What dish do you look forward to? ~ pt ~ Over the river and through the wood Oh, how the wind does blow! It stings the toes And bites the nose, As over the ground we go. Over the river and through the wood To have a first-rate play. Hear the bells ring, Ting-a-ling-ling! Hurrah for Thanksgiving Day! ~ Linda Maria Child, Over the River
Guest guest
Weekly question (For Thanksgiving): How do you spend your thanksgiving? By myself watching the parade, making my dinner, calling my mom and sister, watching old movies, and just sort of doing what I want to do. I am 200 miles from any family and the mountains are too snowy to travel by myself. What will your feast consist of? I hopefully will have lots of vegetables, a loaf of some kind or herb crusted cutlets, mashed potatoes, and of course dessert. What dish do you look forward to? Pumpkin Pie with whipped topping! I also make a mean mincemeatless pie with homemade " mincemeatless " it is absolutely awesome.
Guest guest
Weekly question (For Thanksgiving): How do you spend your thanksgiving? With my family. They are very territorial over holidays...so I start mine out by driving the 9 hours up to Kansas from Texas (usually the day before!) and then on Thanksgiving day I load up with all my food and take it to wherever the festivites are held. Lately it's been my cousin Angies. We eat, bother each other, make fun of my food and throw things at my unlce mike who always falls asleep. What will your feast consist of? I usually make a Tofurkey roast or Lentil loaf, some roast veggies (potatos, carrots, parsnips), maple-pecan sweet potatos (everyone loves these! I posted the recipe a bit back I think...), A simple green salad (sometimes other people bring this) and pumpkin pie! Since I am vegan, everything I eat I have to make, cause my family is very meat, dairy and egg oriented...my sister also partakes in the things I make as she's lacto-ovo. What dish do you look forward to? This year I think I am going to make a cranberry, wild rice thingy posted to one of these groups. I am stoked for that. I make the pumpkin pie just for myself though and it's always been my favorite! My grandmother used to joke about makig one just for me! ~Mel FareChase: Search multiple travel sites in one click. http://farechase.
