Guest guest
Good directions and i like when there are pictures in cooking instructions so you can see what it is supposed to look like. i see i am going to need a bread machine to make this though... so i better add it to my holiday wishlist. Who on our list owns a bread machine? What brandname is it and do you love it, hate it, think it is a waste of space? i am curious... ~ pt ~ weather lore: Flowers bloomin' in late Autumn, A sure sign of a bad Winter comin'. ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , Christie < christie0131@g...> wrote: > > This is a seitan recipe which was recommended in the Crockpot Vegans > group. I have one its a breadman by wellbuilt. Ive had this machine a year it was left to me from my aunt & it sat in the closet until I found out I could use it knead my seitan dough. Its totaly worth it if it werent for my machine I would be buying my seitan. > >
Guest guest
I own a Welbilt machine with the bread shaped like a regular loaf. It is the best machine I have ever owned and would buy another one in a heartbeat. Got it at Bi-Mart do you have one down there? Not a spendy machien but it sure does get the job done. You do have to pay attention to the dough a bit but otherwise it works perfectly. It also makes quick breads and I have an awesome pumpkin bread recipe - works super in there too. I am going to make Seitan this weekend with it as I don't really use the dough cycle a lot now I can ;-))))) Linda May the sun bring you new strength by day And the moon softly restore you at night. May the rain wash away your fears And the breeze invigorate your being. May you, all the days of your life, Walk gently through the world and know it's beauty. - " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll Tuesday, November 15, 2005 9:03 AM Re: Seitan ~ bread machines? PT - you could probably do it in a stand mixer if you wanted (I will be trying that soon), or knead it by hand (would take a long time though). > Who on our list owns a bread machine? > What brandname is it and do you love it, hate it, > think it is a waste of space? i am curious... I loved it at first, but then it was just taking up room. Don't remember the model as it was 4 years ago that I gave it away. I think it was a Regal model though. I know newer ones have more options.
