Guest guest
A quick story: I had a particularly good organic spagetti squash a couple of years ago. Saved the seeds (washed, dried) and planted some the subsequent Spring. The plants grew outrageously fast, and generated some marvelous squashes. Since then, when I have a particularly tasty organic veggie or fruit that I can grow in this area or have some familiarity with, I save some seeds. In the case of the spagetti squash, I sprouted the seeds between wet paper towels in a plastic container for a few days so I knew in advance which seeds would germinate and most likely grow. Wonderful experience.... you can also toast the seeds of any winter squash (or go the " dried " route like pepitos... think I got that right.... dried pumpkin seeds).
