Guest guest
I made the unchuck roast from www.ellenskitchen.com The finished product was very meat-like (which may or may not appeal) but I will change the seasonings next time I do it (tasted odd.) Seems to be a very versatile food. If you'd like to see a picture go to http://whatdoveganseat.blogspot.com/ - (A fun blog started by a guy named Josh that is just a visual catalog of things vegans eat.) I posted my picture there. Guest guest
Wow! Looks great. And thanks for the link. I have yet to make that particular seitan recipe, but I did make the pastrami sausage. It came out pretty well. I was quite happy with it. I imagine it would serve as a nice snack too, sliced thinly and dried into " jerky " by baking for a long time at low heat. Even without this process, I think it is safe to assume it would keep well at room temp for taking on trips. I mean, What's in it to go bad? -Erin , " Shelly " <anislandgirl@c...> wrote: > > I made the unchuck roast from www.ellenskitchen.com > > The finished product was very meat-like (which may or may not appeal) > but I will change the seasonings next time I do it (tasted odd.) Guest guest
Wow Shelly, that really does look like meat! Might be shocking for some folks who have an aversion to such things, but i think it is great the variety of ways this dish can be made to please all different people who eat it. That was a great blog place with very nice food pics; they made me hungry. Thanks for sharing it. ~ pt ~ You sunburnt sicklemen, of August weary, Come hither from the furrow and be merry. ~ Shakespeare The Tempest.
