Guest guest
This is DEFINITELY the most disturbing peta video I've seen. It's worth watching but not for the weak stomached. I can't decide whether it is good because it will move people or horrendous because it made me feel sick. http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=j_lopez Elisa FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click. Guest guest
I think that this footage is important in getting people to realize what happens in getting their fur or fur trim and just what it is that they have become a part of. Yes, it is brutal, but it is real, actual footage. If I remember, this is in China. China is where we get the vast majority of our fur trim for those winter coats. An independent undercover investigation was conducted in China and parts were even aired on 60 Minutes or one of those shows. Not the part of the skinned fox who was still alive of course. That was indeed horrific, but true. China steals and captures dogs and cats to be skinned and put on clothing for export and then mislabels it as fox strips or raccoon and even rabbit. J.C. Penney is carrying winter coats with fur trim from China. Meier & Frank is carrying vests from China labeled rabbit along with scarves, collars, and ear muffs. There are other videos of animals being raised for their fur here in the states and it is horrible too...the conditions and lack of medical care...one animal with a front leg that has been broken with the bone sticking out and he had been that way for some time. The pain and agony on their faces is horrible. I think these brutal films ought to be aired otherwise people will continue to buy fur or not look to see if the trim on the coats are from real animals. Is it possible that human beings could continue to buy fur after seeing these videos? And if they did what would you think of them? And what responsibility do we hold in trying to get these things stopped? We wouldn't tolerate someone beating the stuffins out of a dog or a cat...we would stop them and the law would protect the animal. Not so with this industry even here in the states and certainly not the brutality with the farm factoried animals. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Guest guest
I hope J-Lo is feeling rather glamorous after all of that. It would be interesting to see her expression while viewing that video. Jennifer Lopez is rather a bit more gluttonous than some of the other Hollywood types. I think Peta did pick up well on that as well as the fact that she was probably the biggest star at the time they put out the video. Well done, imho. Let the point trickle down. All of that killing at the expense of someone making them feel good about themselves with material possessions.
