I accidentally bought WAY too much Barley for a recipe and now I need non-soup

ideas.

I do have an idea to throw out and see what I can do with it...

I was thinking Barley, sweet potatos and lentils but I haven't gotten anything

from there. Do

you all think Rosemary would be good on all that? Should I add some rice or

something like

that too?

How long does barley (and bulghur cause I got a butt load of that too but lots

of stuff to do

with it) stay good? Can I just store it in the pantry?

Can ya tell I don't use this stuff like ... oh... ever? I've only made one thing

with it!!

Rosemary would be good. Mushrooms too. I like to make it with wild

rice, peas and a vinaigrette for a warm side dish. Also have a great

cold salad - cook the barley, add chopped nectarines & plums, dress

with orange juice and chopped mint leaves.

Yup. Pearled will last longer than hulled... lasts quite a while anyway.

Have fun!
