If your kitty is eating and losing weight, be sure to get her thyroid

checked. My Maxie cat is having that problem right now, and it's

because he's hyperthyroid. I have another cat that had the same

problem. They eat alot, lose weight, and may have diarhhea. Also, you

can sometimes feel a bump in their throat/chest (not sure exactly where)

that is the thyroid sticking out.

her thyroid hasn't tested irregularly as of yet (the last time i took her was

2 months ago), and i don't feel any lumps... i'm trying to keep her out of

the vet's office as much as possble now because 1) it stresses her out horribly,

which exacerbates her ibd, and 2) although i've been to almost every vet in

the pasadena area and he's the best out of all of them, that's still not saying

much, and she still comes back sicker than when she left. so i'm doing what

i can at home for her.

 

the good news is, she's doing really well on the raw so far!! she used the

litterbox this morning (woo hoo!!!!) and she seems to have a lot more energy.

so we'll see how it goes!
