Guest guest
Hi Kristi. Thanks for that tofu tip; i will have to try that one. Your recipe for paprikas mushrooms sounds a lot like a recipe i enjoy called Cauliflower Paprikash. You might want to look it up in our files and see if your son would like it. i am going to try your mushroom recipe. Great to have you here. ~ pt ~ Our imagination is the only limit to what we can hope to have in the future. ~ Charles Franklin Kettering ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " KJ " <kjalics@r...> wrote: > > Hi Everyone, > I am a pretty new member and not a vegetarian myself, though moving > that way. Guest guest
Paprikas(s has the sound of sh in Hungarian) is a technique which can be used with anything, really. I hadn't thought of cauliflower, but it sounds like a good idea. I was very irritated at my daughter's wedding. It was catered, but I made a large steamer tray of paprikas mushrooms and when the caterer talked about the things on the buffet, he said he " didn't know what kind of little animals " were in that dish. Since I made it especially for the vegetarians who were guests, I stood up and said as nicely as I could that there were no animals in it at all! The way of cooking tofu straight from a frozen state to rapidly boiling water seems to keep the interstices where the ice crystals were and that makes the texture. Then I put it between two boards on a slant to drain it and it keeps the textured shape. What marinades do you all like best for tofu? Kristi , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > > Hi Kristi.
