There was a woman near here that died last summer when a professional pest

control company came in and bombed her house. She and her husband had left and

came back at the time the company said it would be safe, walked into their house

and she immediately couldn't breathe and died within minutes. Her husband was

also overcome with the fumes and was hospitalized. They were in their 70's I

think and had been married for ever. The medics that showed up also were

affected by the fumes. So there was no doubt as to the cause. I can't remember

for sure the outcome which wasn't particularly readily forthcoming, but it seems

like they said she was just sensitive to the pest control substance. Guess they

all were huh? It was a terrible unnecessary thing to have happened. I think a

warning to us all. This was a professional company too.

An apartment I lived in seven years ago had the most perfect grounds, totally

green and luscious. Problem is that kids couldn't play out on it. It had been

well groomed with every known chemical to man and was highly toxic. Pores are

the largest organ of the body. Whatever you put on it enters into your blood

stream to be circulated throughout the body. How nice.

About 10-12 years ago, before I got really bad with my environmental

illness, my tenant upstairs had a woman living up there with her. The

woman went and picked up a bed off the street and it had fleas in it.

She brought it into the house and of course the fleas got all over. To

make matters worse, she then flea-bombed upstairs, even though I had

warned her not to. She did it when I wasn't home and all my poor

critters *and I) were exposed to whatever came through the floor from

upstairs. I hope it wasn't much, but suspect it did filter down. I

found out about it later. A year or so after that, my chemical

sensitivity got really bad. I now live in my whole house, so I don't

have to worry about odd tenant behavior. Just the cats, dogs and

me--it's great!
