Well, when you find a good resolution to the garlic white sauce let me know.

Sounds yummy. Bet you could use it for a lot of different recipes too. I am

always missing good white sauces and I love sauces especially on veggies. Thank

the goddess I never like cheese since I see so many of you are having problems

giving that up. <smiling> Soy milk has worked for me as a excellent replacement

for cow's milk and the various ways of replacing eggs has been great. Our local

wonderful bakery has wonderful vegan treats and they have been really gracious

in sharing what they use. I tried vegan Hip Whip, kind of like cool whip, for

fruit salad. It was passable, but doesn't blend smoothly and kind of glumps. I

don't think I would use it again. We were afraid to mess with it so just used it

as is. Oh, and by the way it is made by the Now and Zen people. I know that the

bakery uses a whipped stuff that is really good and it comes out of a aerosol

but can never remember the name...will have to ask unless some of you have a

clue. They also make a wonderful sauce that goes onto their cinnamon buns.

Re: linda's vegan pizza

This sounds really good, linda.

i am in the process of seeking and experimenting

with a garlic white sauce [vegan]. One of my favorite

take-n-bake pizza combos has white sauce, spinach,

onions, pappers, mushrooms, black olives, and marinated

artichoke hearts; they load it with cheese, but i don't think

it needs it at all. i want to make my own without and i like

your idea of doubling the sauce layer. :)

Joe's. I take a jar of Newman's Marinara sauce, put maybe 2 TBSP of

Wholesome's Organic Brown sugar in it (it is vegan) then put a layer on the

crust, then the veggies, maybe add some chopped olives and end with another

layer of the sauce. Lot's of it too. Oh, boy, it is delicious and the next day

cold a

treat! I tried broccoli once...ugh.
