Guest guest
Linda, Thanks for the resturante and shopping tips for Eugene! My husband would be looking for work in the Chemistry department and or Tech support at the Univ. We love living on Whidbey, but have found the winters are just getting to tough on us. We are real out doorsey types and having so much coldnest and rain is wearing us down. We aren't snow/skiers, mostly ultra runs, hiking, orienteering etc. Eugene may not be much better weather wise, but it seems like it might be? We might need to head to Northern California where I grew up, but it's gotten so expensive to live..............Anywho....Eugene just sounds so veggie friendly. I have definatly been to Coupeville, and we have spent tons of time at Ft. Casey and Ebby's landing. On a sunny day the walk at Ebby's landing is one of the most beautiful in North America. I have to admit I've walked across the bridge at Deception Pass a number of times with visiting relatives and I always amazed at the volume of people. It's pretty, but the walk across is dangerous, the RV mirrors will hit you if you don't keep an eye out! Did you ever come down to Langley? The Dog House(local tavern) used to have pretty good Tofu Burgers and Tofu taco's, but there is new owner that is changing things. We are the only Vegan's we know on Whidbey, it's always funny the comments we get...... Heidi
