And on the ginger subject, can anybody tell me how to make a homemade ginger

tea?

Hi Bron,

this is from my medicinal herb books - same recipe in several books.

Pour a cup of boiling water over 1-2 tbsp. of freshly grated or chopped

ginger. steep for 10-15 min, and then strain.

peace,

Angela

:=) Okaaaaay, I guess from context that it means

middle age? But why 'Red Hat'? Serious query.

Best love, Pat

Hi Pat,

You see, here in the States is a sort of phenomenon going on with women who

reach the age of 50. At that time, they are qualified to get into the " Red

Hat " club. It's a grand celebration of a sort of 'coming of age'. This comes

from the poem about the lady who, when she got old, " would wear purple " and

I think red, also; at any rate, would wear colors that may clash but that

she likes. That when she gets to a certain age, she can and will do things

differently in her life, having earned the right to do so, so to speak. :>)

I have learned very recently that there is a Pink Hat stage for women like

me <g> who aren't quite 50 but who can't wait to join the Red Hat Society.

There are Red Hat clubs all over America, where ladies wear red hats with

purple trim or vice versa; they eat out together and do other fun things. I

have noticed that in my rubberstamping and papercrafting lately, there are

many " red hat " paraphernalia. Lots of fun!

Bron :>)
