Guest guest
I went to the site but could only find the Marshmallow Creme, but no marshmallows. However, s'mores sound wonderful. Don't think it would work in a fruit salad though in place of marshmallows. If I used the butane torch however maybe I could harden it? I would burn the house down I am afraid. If a little flame is good a larger flame would be better. Applies to everything! <grinning> linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Got a butane torch? , " linda " <lindai81@c...> wrote: > > Anyone here know of a vegan marshmallow that is good? The fabulous store that carried them, and it doesn't even carry meat or meat products, discovered that the vegan marshmallows they carried were not vegan. Now they have these humoungous marshmallows, brown too, that no one likes, but they are vegan...Anyone have a suggestion. I use them in fruit salad during the holidays. I also need a whipped topping that is vegan...I tried the Hip Whip at Thanksgiving and it sure didn't blend well...anyone try mixing it with vegan mayo? Both have to be vegan though. > linda > " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Guest guest
Yes I too went to www.vegessentials.com and saw the ricemallow creme,(that also comes in strawberry flavor now too, that I HAD to order!!) which by the way for those who haven't had it equals FLUFF'S flavor and texture. I loved those marshmallows they carried, I haven't seen them in a while, but they are a great company to deal with, if you write them, they will let you know the status of the marshmallows... Sometimes I wonder if I just haven't had a particular product in such a long time if it really does taste like the old one, or if I have simply become so used to the newer tastes in my life that I have forgotten the old ones. *Pondering that thought* Ezevia On 12/9/05, linda <lindai81 wrote: > > I went to the site but could only find the Marshmallow Creme, but no > marshmallows. Guest guest
If you had your fruit salad in a pyrex or metal bowl, I would think you could make a topping out of the ricemellow creme by spreading it over the top, then browning it with your torch. It wouldn't be the same as mixing in the marshmallows, but at least you could get a little color if you used the strawberry version, which I've not tried - still only the regular version at the co-op here in Ashland. I can only assume that caramelized like that, it would harden somewhat when it cooled - in my application (smores) I went for the warm and melty quality. I found browning the ricemellow creme with the torch very easy to control, though it felt very daring at first.... , " linda " <lindai81@c...> wrote: > > I went to the site but could only find the Marshmallow Creme, but no marshmallows.
