Their signature dressing was Wasco House Miso Dressing. Everybody loved it. Here are the original, lower fat, and vegan versions for it, all of which I've made and our family has enjoyed. Sherry in Oregon Original Wasco House Miso Dressing 1/2 cup olive oil 3 Tablespoons cider vinegar 3 Tablespoons Sweet White miso (must be sweet white) 2 Tablespoons honey 1 clove garlic, minced (or 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder) 1/4 small, mild white onion, chopped Blend in blender. Add water if too thick for your taste. Refrigerate several hours before serving to blend flavors. Vegan version: substitute vegan sweetener to taste for honey Lower fat version: use 1/4 cup oil and 1/4 cup water (41 calories per Tablespoon)
Guest guest
It's about time Sherry. LOL Okay, it has gone into my save file for recipes and all I have to do is pick up some white miso. I have some miso, and it isn't dark, but not the Sweet White Miso. Hopefully they have it at PC. I want it for dinner. Agave nectar will work well for this recipe in place of the honey. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it.
