Guest guest
There are a lot of Hungarian recipes which involve noodles/potatoes, milk, nuts, sugar or honey or poppyseeds or various kinds of cheese or sour cream and are good for lacto vegetarians. One that we like and not that many people are familiar with is MAKOS TESZTA (mak'osh tast'aw) Cook and drain 1 pound of noodles, usually wide ones or square ones. Cook a cup of poppy seeds in a cup of milk until they are softened and together. Add 1/4 cup of sugar, between a half and a cup of raisins, and mix all together with 1/2 cup of melted butter. You can also toast a cup of any sort of nut and cook that in the milk instead of poppy seeds and you will have made DIOS TESZTA.
