Guest guest
Did you see the haggis recipe Isis posted yet? LOL It sure brought up plenty of conversation. It sounds like a good one, I like the idea of it being served between a row of mashed potatoes and a row of mashed rutabagas. Just the name alone, Haggis. I worked with a girl from Scotland, I saw that thing. It was long amd thin and dark and looked like nothing I'd touch, especially after I found out what it was made of....(:-) Donna , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > > The ingredients sound so good, but just the word > haggis... *lol* Does anyone have a site with a picture > of what a haggis is supposed to look like? i have never > seen one before. > > ~ pt ~ > >
Guest guest
Yes, i saw Isis' recipe. We had a veg recipe posted here, too. They sound edible to me, but the regular version sure doesn't! Ew, ew, ew. *lol* Thank you for sending me that pic of the " real " haggis, too. Totally creeped me out! *lmao* To think, my ancestors from the Isle of Skye probably loved that stuff! When my daughter or i are acting mean we tell each- other to stop acting like such a haggis. hehehe ~ pt ~ Human kindness has never weakened the stamina or softened the fiber of a free people. Guest guest
PT and Donna - here ia a bit of fun and probably a rather more attractive picture of a haggis than the one you may have seen: http://haggishunt.scotsman.com/how_to_play.cfm If you win the stay at Gleneagles, email me and you could stop off here on the way. > To think, my ancestors > from the Isle of Skye probably loved that stuff! Probably, and they will probably have done some really serious whisky drinking too (I lived on Skye for a while and had to move down here for the well-being of my liver.) Were they victims of the Highland Clearances? Christie
Guest guest
That platypusus-haggis is way cuter than the real thing! *lol* ~ pt ~ In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer. ~ Albert Camus (1913-1960) ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " christie_0131 " < christie0131@g...> wrote: > > PT and Donna - here ia a bit of fun and probably a rather more > attractive picture of a haggis than the one you may have seen: > http://haggishunt.scotsman.com/how_to_play.cfm > If you win the stay at Gleneagles, email me and you could stop off > here on the way.
