I made the one without the meat and oatmeal in it - the recipe came from a British cookbook way back when. You didn't eat the ahem " vessel " it was cooked in, just the inside which was onions, potatoes, sage, salt, pepper and garlic. Which, I guess kind of made it a vegetarian Haggis except for the outside part. It was excellent. I have tried to cook the same stuff, stuffed into something other than the original pig's stomach but it never turned out the same at all. Traditional Scottish Haggis is cooked in a sheep's stomach.
