That's it! Not the blackened stuff, just the nice

'toasty' browned rice - Kids truly do go wild for

it when formed into 'popcorn' balls. (Although I

confess to a sympathy for those poor neglected

unloved burnt grains. <sigghhh>) I now cook my

white rice in a rice steamer in the microwave -

no crispy bits there . . . Another victim of

technology.
