Guest guest
hi ragnhild, you didn't ask stupid questions at all. 14 ounces is the amount for the sweetened condensed milk. i don't know what you could use for a substitute for cherry pie filling. it has cherries, sugar, and a bunch of artifical stuff. it's thick, red, and very sweet. here's a pic and ingredient list: http://shop.netgrocer.com/shop.aspx? & sid=1219706 & sid_guid=e186bb59-514a-48be-a70\ c-88ddbe7212fb & strid=2D462 & shopurl=productdetail.aspx & UPC=04125543179 & ns=1 hope this helps. feel free to ask anymore questions if you have them..... susie --- Ragnhild Kristine Brekke <rkb76 wrote: > Hi! > This is from a while back.... I will find my recipe.
Guest guest
Yeah, Amy is right. i like to make my own cherry pie filling; i used to have a tart cherry tree at my other house. But most people can find cans of the tart pie cherries in the store. Those are way easier and already pitted. i always added some sugar, cornstarch or tapioca [did i spell that right?], and almond extract. You can even add some red food coloring if it isn't red enough, but just a drop or two works... less is more. ~ pt ~ Life is an adventure in forgiveness. ~Norman Cousins, author and editor (1915-1990) ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " Amy " <sandpiperhiker> wrote: > Cherry pie filling can also be made from pitted cherries, a bit of > cornstarch, a drop of almond extract, and a bit of juice (easy if you > buy your cherries in a jar).
