Guest guest
LOL. Thanks Shawn. It has been up since December 1st... you should check in more often via the homepage. i was looking for a Santa eating veggies pic, but that fat dude only eats cookies! *lol* ~ pt ~ One can pay back the loan of gold, but one dies forever in debt to those who are kind. ~ Malayan Proverb ~~~*~~~*~~~> , subprong <subprong@g...> wrote: > > PT, the front page looks very cool, classy and pretty. Guest guest
It's not his fault - everyone leaves those cookies out for him. It's peer pressure on their part and a lack of will power on his. ~ I think this Santa eats plenty of veggies... http://www.coloracademy.co.uk/WhatNew/Season/Christmas/Santa_Fruit1.jpg S. If a person puts out a plate of cookies, and another person eats them because they lack self-control, whos fault is it when the cookie eater gets fat? *lol* IMO, Santa should clean the plate of cookies off by dumping them into ziplock baggies and then donate them to homeless shelters. > > I think this Santa eats plenty of veggies... > > http://www.coloracademy.co.uk/WhatNew/Season/Christmas/ Santa_Fruit1.jpg That is a very cute picture! ~ pt ~ Discard every self-seeking motive as soon as it is seen and you need not search for truth.Ê Truth will find you. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj

I'm making cookies this year but none are staying in the house! I'm one of those " lack of self-control " folks when it comes to sweet things. The only reason I'm not fat is I don't buy it or make it very often, because I know this about myself.

Plus we all know that the cookies are a bribe so that the kiddos don't get socks (both parties are guilty and get what they want). Thirdly, men don't get " fat " , they get " big " . LOL. Perhaps there could be some sort of compromise - how about Carrot Cake. I saw in my store the other day... Pumpkin Cookies. How about Apple Pie or Banana Bread. At least they contain a fruit or veggie of some sort in some form. > IMO, Santa should clean the plate of cookies off by > dumping them into ziplock baggies and then donate > them to homeless shelters. I think you are onto something here. Plus I'm sure the reindeer wouldn't mind lugging a few less pounds of Santa around. S.
Guest guest
I have a salt tooth, however I try to balance everything out. I did read though that once your body consumes sugar, it starts to crave it. I actually experienced this. I never ever ate desserts. At one point years ago, though, I started to eat one of those mini candy bars after a meal (I think because I just had them on hand for some reason). Well, this became a habit. My body adjusted to wanting that little candy bar after every meal whether I was hungry or not. I'd finally given that up after a few weeks. I wonder how many people are actually " hungry " when eating a dessert. I'm sure the majority of us just " feel like " eating a dessert and don't actually have an appetite for it. Food for thought. Guest guest
I very much agree. If I eat sugar I crave it. If I can stay away for a few days that craving goes away. Guest guest
I wish I could remember how my friend described it - something about how once you trigger it your body adjusts to it, craves it and wants to replenish it. The more you eat sugar, the more you want it. Why can't the same be said about broccoli. Ya know... " I had a bad day at work so I popped in a long movie and ate my blues away with a pint of raw broccoli " S. On 12/20/05, Samantha Lea wrote: > > I very much agree. If I eat sugar I crave it.
