i just posted this over at QV2 today because some l

ady asked for more no-bake cookie recipes. i think this

is a lot like Lori's recipe, except mine uses sugar & cocoa

powder instead of chocolate chipe. We always just

dropped spoonfuls of the warm goo onto wax paper

and let it harden. They do sort of look like cow pies.

Chocolate Oatmeal No-Bakes

 

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup butter

1/3 cup cocoa powder

3 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 tsp. vanilla extract

 

Combine the sugar, milk, butter and cocoa in a large

cooking pot. Bring to a boil and the keep it at the boil

for one full minute [very important]. Remove from heat.

Mix in the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.

Quickly drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

Allow to cool and stiffen.

Yield: about 30 cookies
