Guest guest
Well, this may or may not be the reason for what you are experiencing, but sugar (carbs) drive your blood sugars (glucose) up very rapidly, it is a carb high, and then drops like a rock falling into the Grand Canyon. That up and down rapidness of it causes one to crave it and to feel hungry. If I eat a large carb meal I will get hungry much sooner than with a low carb meal or slow carb meal. White potatoes converts to glucose faster than table sugar and also drives blood sugars up where they then drop like a rock. My guess would be that is also behind the old idea that when you eat Chinese food you get hungry sooner. They tend to be high carb meals. linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. Samantha I did read though that once your body consumes sugar, it starts to crave it. I actually experienced this. I never ever ate desserts. At one point years ago, though, I started to eat one of those mini candy bars after a meal (I think because I just had them on hand for some reason). Well, this became a habit. My body adjusted to wanting that little candy bar after every meal whether I was hungry or not. I'd finally given that up after a few weeks. I wonder how many people are actually " hungry " when eating a dessert. I'm sure the majority of us just " feel like " eating a dessert and don't actually have an appetite for it. Food for thought.
