Guest guest Posted January 3, 2006 Report Share Posted January 3, 2006 (NO CELERY RECIPES *LOL*) meg This one is on the back of a package of Fantastic brand hummus mix. 1 package Hummus 1 tsp minced garlic 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded 2 C colassal black olives, halved prepare hummus, add garlic and 3/4 cheese. Stir well. Set aside. halve the olives and stuff with mixture. bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Garnish with remaining cheese and bake until cheese melted. This one was a mistake that we all loved and weirdly enough it tastes like deviled eggs or egg salad, LOL. I guess it's the dressing and hummus that makes the taste and texture of eggs. ------------------------------ Hummus " Egg " Pita (serves 6) Vegan version: in place of cole slaw dressing use 1 C vegannaise mixed with 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp whatever sweetener you use, add a dash of yellow mustard vegetarian version: use cole slaw dressing (has egg yolks) 1 package hummus (boxed, prepare as directed with only 1/2 of water called for) 1 C cole slaw dressing 3 C package broccoli slaw pita bread or flat bread Prepare the hummus as directed on box, using only 1/2 of the water called for. Add the cole slaw dressing or vegan equivalent.
