Guest guest
Over the holidays my mom wanted my husband and I to make cookies we could eat. She wasn't sure what to make, but wanted to make sure there were a few treats we'd like. So I remembered an old easy receipt from grammer school called Haystacks. I was albe to use the Trader Joe's Chocolate chips, I think they were the semi-sweet ones. They worked great. Basically you melt the chips in a sauce pan on the stove, and then dump in some chineese noodles and peanuts. Once everything is covered in the chocolate you spoon them on to some wax paper to harden. It's super easy and fast. In the past we added currants, and other nuts. I hope some of you try this out and enjoy! cheers, Heidi
Guest guest
Hey Heidi, I remember those! My husband is allergic to peanuts, so I'll try this with cashews instead. It'll be rather like my favorite candy, a Chunky. :>) Thanks! Bron On 1/5/06, Heidi Cusworth <hcusworth wrote: > > Over the holidays my mom wanted my husband and I to make cookies we > could eat.
