Guest guest Posted January 7, 2006 Report Share Posted January 7, 2006 It's wonderful in vegetarian gumbo, soups. stews, and mock tuna salad style recipes. This is a Sub. for Old Bay seasoning. Marsha Chesapeake Bay Seasoning 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 1 tsp. gr.celery seed 1 tsp. sweet Hungarian paprika 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. gr. black pepper 1 tsp. gr. bay leaf 2 tsps. salt 1/4 tsp. gr. allspice 1/4 tsp. gr. ginger 1/4 tsp. gr. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. gr. cardamom 1/4 tsp. gr. cinnamon 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. kelp powder (optional if not available) Mix all seasonings in a small bowl until well blended.
