Papa Johns pizza

I got a list of ingredients from Papa Johns Pizza to see if there's any

millk ingredients in the dough. Most franchised pizza places do have at

least whey. Papa Johns doesn't have any milk in it. So now I can order a

veggie pizza and ask them to leave the cheese off and have a pizza with

everyone else.

I get them to put way extra sauce on the pizza in place of the cheese and they

are always happy to do so otherwise the pizza is too dry for me. I think the

hardest thing about being vegan is getting people to understand why I don't want

to eat at a place where the only thing I can eat is a dinner salad and then

sometimes just dry or take my own vegan margarine, sour cream, and dressing etc.

LOL Friends start out by saying well, why not just for special occasions? Once

they understand that it is out of ethical concerns for animals they get on board

or run away. LOL

Marilyn, thanks for that information. I would like to try their new pan

pizza. Hopefully it tastes something like Pizza Huts did. That was always

my favorite. Haven't had pizza from either place for quite sometime.

Thanks for that info, Marilyn. Good to know. :)

You may want to ask about their handling policy, as well, if you are

worried about your pizza being contaminated by someone that had

touched a meat ingredient.

I, doubt (but not positive), that the pizza preparers use separate

gloves when placing toppings onto different pizzas (or use separate

gloves for meats and veggies and cheeses).

I'm not sure if they are currently using gloves, or perhaps they have

tongs for each topping bin.
